Mario is a plastic artist born in Mexico City. He combines his career as a Mechanical Engineer with his love for art. He has translated his problem solving skills and highly trained creativity into a unique art expression, Papier-mâché creatures. In Mexico, these creatures are known as Alebrijes. 

Mario expanded his engineering studies with a certificate in visual arts by the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey. Merging two worlds that most of the times are believed to be opposite magnets. His structured thinking and his risk-taking artistic personality generate rich pieces, full of both disciplines.

Alebrijes by MAMM is his most recent project, in which he intends to share the Mexican culture by populating the world with magical creatures. Creatures that you could only find on your dreams.
